A. GUIDING MANUALThe conference leadership is a shared responsibility of three; Advisory body=AB, Steering committee=SC, City fellowship=CF
Responsibilities1.Advisory Body (AB) The AB Shall comprise former students who have maintained an active interest in the development of the conference over the years. This body shall include both resident(currently in China) and those who have returned to their respective countries. The Group in China shall constitute the active part of the AB.
The chairperson of the AB will be in charge of nominating the SC, after the SC has made recommendations to the AB of possible candidates.
The Chairperson of the AB will be rotational, each term will last 6 month with the renewal if needed and approved by the other members of the AB.
The AB would be responsible for ensuring that the SC functions properly and that the Vision of the conference is maintained and renewed by the leadership of the Holy Sprit.2.Steering committee (SC) The SC will be composed of 5 members representing the five divided regions of China, North, South, East, Central/Western and Beijing. The term of office will be one year minimum and 2 years maximum. Criteria for qualification 1Tim 3.(Check appendix)
Under the close advice of the AB:
Organize the biannual conference ( main speaker and workshop speakers, translators, worship teams and financial matters)
The SC will not enroll speakers or other members in the conference team without first receiving the opinion of the AB on the proposed names.
The Leaders of the CF will assist and closely cooperate with the SC for the good preparation of the conference.
The Hosting city will organize the conference under direct instruction of SC. The SC is the executive organizing committee of the conference, and the CF is the implementing body.
City fellowship (CF) As regard to the weekly CF's activities, the elders of the CF will continue to operate independent of the SC. However, the SC could be called to assist the CF's leaders on specific needs. In this later case the SC will contact the AB for recommendation of an appropriate minister who could assist.
B. CSC PORTFOLIO
In accordance to the guiding manual the following portfolios were approved by the CSC.
a) Chairman
b) Secretary
c) Treasurer
d) Prayer secretary
e) Organizing secretary
Roles of the different portfolio -
a) Chairman: Word, contacting the speakers, chairing meetings and spearheading the selection of themes.
b) General Secretary: communicating and relaying information to the different fellowships and communities, taking minutes, design of website and also handling all emails.
c) Treasurer: Keep and also update financial records. Spearhead fund raising ventures.
d) Prayer Secretary: Prayer, Intercession and also Pastoral needs.
e) Organizing Secretary: Set-up, children, translation and also recording.
